There are a variety of sources Jump uses to determine a participant's name in a meeting. Here are some ways you can ensure the correct name and spelling are used in your meeting notes before and after the meeting has been captured.

Where does Jump get the client name from?

Video meetings

When processing a video meeting, Jump will first look at the meeting participants list in the call and assign those names to the different speakers it detected. If a participant has listed their name as "julietteball", for example, the transcript will show "julietteball" as the speaker, and the note will also reflect this.

In-person meetings

When processing an in-person meeting, Jump will rely on the event invitees list pulled from your calendar. You can see this list below the meeting title:

If the client isn't an invitee, Jump will then look at the meeting title for additional clues. In this example, the note would include John's name.

If none of this information is available, Jump will use its best judgement to decide how many participants were in the meeting and which names to assign to speakers. This is when names are most likely to be misspelled.

How can I make sure the client name is correct in the notes?

There are a few things you can do to help Jump identify the correct client names and spelling:

  1. Include the client as an invitee on the event in your calendar

  2. Include the client's full name in the meeting title
