How does Jump work?

Understanding the basics of how Jump operates

Who does this apply to?

  • Full users

Here's how Jump works:

Jump captures audio from a meeting to generate a transcript

Jump gets this audio with one of the following methods:

  • Sending a notetaker to your Zoom, Microsoft Teams, Google Meet meeting

  • Capturing the audio through the Jump mobile app, web app, or any voice recorder app

  • Having the notetaker join your phone call

Note: Depending on your firm's or broker-dealer's policies, you may not have all of these options available at this time.

Jump determines the type of meeting based on the transcript

All Full users in Jump receive default meeting types out of the box. You can view these meeting types by going to User settings > Automations.

Jump will guess the appropriate meeting type based on transcript. You can add or delete meeting types from within this page to accommodate your typical workflows.

Jump takes specific actions based on the meeting type

Each meeting type is attached to certain actions, which the Jump AI assistant will take when triggered by the corresponding event.

Actions can include:

  • Generating a meeting note with a particular format and giving you the option to send that note to your CRM

  • Generating tasks / cases / workflows / activities (the options depend on your CRM) and letting you sync those to your CRM

  • Generating a draft follow-up email

  • And more

You can add or delete actions from a given meeting type from within this Automations tab.

Note: Lite users do not have automations capabilities. To access automations and have Jump complete actions after a meeting, make sure meetings are captured from the Full user's Jump account.

There's much more to it than this (Jump can also generate pre-meeting prep for you), but these are the basics to keep in mind.
