Who has access to this feature?
Account owners
Account owners in Jump can configure their Compliance settings to automatically delete media and transcripts after a set period. These retention settings will apply to all users on the account.
Jump also lets you delete meetings manually, or set audio, video, and transcripts to delete automatically after a set period.
Where to find media and transcript retention settings
Go to Profile & settings > Compliance.
Select the Meeting data tab.
Scroll down to the Capture & Storage section.
Adjusting your retention settings
Under Capture & Storage, you have three options to automatically delete meeting data:
Retain audio/video and transcripts
Retain transcripts (delete audio/video)
Retain nothing (delete media and transcripts)
Note: If you choose not to retain transcripts, you will lose the ability to reprocess meetings.
Retain audio/video and transcripts
If you select Retain audio/video and transcripts, Jump will save audio/video (when available) alongside the AI-generated outputs like meeting notes, follow-up tasks, recap emails, etc.
This setting enables the Transcript feature, providing timestamps for both sentiment analysis and the Ask Anything feature.
Retain transcripts (delete audio/video)
If you select Retain transcripts (delete audio/video), a new field will appear, Delete audio/video after delay.
If this setting is Enabled, you'll have to option to enter a custom number of days under the Audio/video deletion delay timeframe field. This allows you to define the number of days after which meeting audio/video will automatically be deleted from Jump. You may also customize the deletion delay by meeting type by clicking the + Add delay button.
If this setting is Disabled, the Delay timeframe field is removed, which means Jump will never retain any audio/video from your meetings
Retain nothing (delete audio/video and transcripts)
If you select Retain nothing (delete audio/video and transcripts), all meeting data captured by Jump will be automatically deleted on a set timeline of your choosing.
With this data storage strategy, you can choose to have audio/video and transcripts deleted on the same schedule, or separately on two different schedules.
For example, you could have Jump automatically delete meeting audio/video after 7 days, then have transcripts auto-deleted after 30 days. Or, you could set them both to be deleted after 30 days.
Note: Any retention settings you change apply to every meeting in Jump, old and new. For example, if you choose to delete audio, video, and transcripts after 7 days, everything captured more than 7 days ago will be deleted right away (Excluding notes and other AI-generated outputs). Once the transcript has been deleted, you will no longer be able to reprocess the meeting.
