How to manage Forms & Documents compliance settings

Control Smart Form file uploads, archive copies, and how long Jump keeps form data and documents.

Written by Mitchell Murphy

Who has access to these settings?

  • Account owners

  • Compliance admins

The Forms & Documents tab within Compliance settings controls whether Smart Forms can collect files from clients, where copies of Smart Form emails and submissions go, and how long Jump keeps form data and uploaded documents.

To get here, go to Profile & settings > Compliance > Forms & Documents.

Note: Selected features/settings apply to all users in this account. Child accounts can self-configure if the lock icon is not enabled.

Note: Each section has its own Revert and Save buttons. Click Save to apply that section's changes, or Revert to discard unsaved edits.

Important: Retention only deletes data stored in Jump. It does not remove data already sent to your CRM, planning tools, archive vendors, or other external systems.

Client file uploads

Decide whether Smart Form templates may include client file-upload fields.

Under Allow client file uploads to Forms, select one, then click Save:

  • On: Smart Form templates may include client file-upload fields.

  • Off: Smart Form templates cannot include client file-upload fields.
