Use this article to learn how to request a complete export of your firm's Jump data, track the status of your request, and download your files once they're ready.

What is a data export?

A data export gives you a full copy of your firm's Jump data, which can include meeting notes and summaries, transcripts, tasks, and recordings, for a date range you choose.

It's built for one-time, complete records: for example, a compliance audit, a legal or regulatory obligation, or keeping a full archive if your firm stops using Jump. Every request is reviewed by Jump's security team before the export is generated.

How to request the data export

  1. Go to Profile & settings > Compliance > Data Export.

  2. Under Meeting data, choose what to include: Transcript, Notes & summaries, Recording, Tasks, or any combination. Meeting participants are included inside each meeting automatically.

  3. Under Date range, choose All time or Custom range. If you choose a custom range, enter a Start date and an End date.

  4. Review the estimated download size, then click Submit request.

Here's what each option includes:

  • Transcript: Transcript segments, with speaker labels where available.

  • Notes & summaries: Meeting notes, generated summaries, and CRM record automation content, in JSON.

  • Recording: Retained audio and video in their original format, where available.

  • Tasks: Tasks associated with the exported meetings, in JSON.

Once submitted, Jump's security team is notified and reviews the request. When the export is ready, you can download it from the same page.

Note: Download links are available in Jump only; they aren't sent by email. Download links expire after a set period, and the files are then deleted. Download your export as soon as it's ready.

Tracking your data export request

Your data export requests appear on the Data export page, showing what was requested, when, who requested it, its status, and how long it's available.

Your request moves through these statuses:

  • Submitted: Your request has been received and is waiting for review.

  • Denied: Jump's security team declined the request.

  • Ready to Download: Your export is complete. Click the download icon to download the data export.

  • Expired: The download window has closed, and the export is no longer available.

Download your export before the date shown in the Available until column. After that, it expires and can't be downloaded.

Frequently asked questions (FAQs)

Should I use a data export or the Jump API?

Use a data export for a one-time, complete copy of your data, such as an audit, a legal hold, or an archive before leaving Jump. If you need data on an ongoing basis or want to pull specific meetings into your own systems, the Jump API is faster and better suited.

What format is the export in?

Notes and transcripts export as JSON files. PDF exports aren't available yet.

How long does a data export typically take?

It depends on the size. Large exports, especially with recordings, can take longer to generate and may produce very large files.
