What is summary-only mode?

Summary-only mode is an account-level setting that allows advisors to receive AI outputs for a meeting without an audio recording persisting.

As a result, the following features are changed or unavailable for meetings captured with Summary-only enabled for their account:

  • “View meeting” button for a meeting will not be there

  • Sentiment analysis features will not show timestamps

  • “Explain” feature will not show timestamps

How to activate summary-only mode in Jump

Account owners can activate summary-only mode by going to Account settings in Jump.

Select the Meeting capture & data tab.

Then click on the Edit button.

A pop-up window will appear. In the "Capture mode" field, select the option "Summary only" from the drop-down menu.

Selecting "Summary only" will remove the option to choose your storage policy.

Click on the green Save button.

Changing the capture mode will not immediately delete any media files from your account. However, any new meetings captured from this point on will be summary-only meetings.

How to adjust storage for your transcriptions and recordings in Jump.

In the Meeting capture & data tab, if you do not select "Summary only" mode, you can choose to

  • Retain media and transcripts (the default option for non-summary-only mode).

  • Retain transcripts (delete media).

  • Retain nothing (delete media & transcripts).

You may select the "Delete after delay" option.

You will be prompted to choose the number of days after a meeting that you wish the the transcript, recording, or both to be deleted for that meeting.

Once you have decided which storage policy you would like, click on the green Save button.

How to delete past media from before summary-only mode was activated

To delete the recording and transcription from meetings that occurred before you turned on summary-only mode, in the Meeting capture & data tab, click on the red Delete stored media button.
