There are a few reasons a meeting might be captured in numerous sessions:
You were capturing the meeting on your phone, and were interrupted by a phone call, so you needed to create a second capture for the rest of the meeting.
You captured several dictations or voice memos about the same meeting.
Can you upload multiple audio files to the same meeting in Jump?
Once you upload an audio file to a meeting in Jump, there is not currently an option to upload a second audio file that same meeting.
To have two (or more) captures process as one meeting, you will need to combine the separate audio files using a local video editing software (such as QuickTime). Then, you can re-upload the single audio file as a new meeting.
If you've already uploaded one portion of the meeting to Jump, you can learn how to download the file with this guide before proceeding.
How to combine multiple audio files
Locate the multiple audio files stored on your computer, and use a video editing software to stitch them together to create one new file.
We will demonstrate how to do this with QuickTime Player, a common video and audio editing program. You may need to download the QuickTime Player program if it's not already on your computer.
Stitch together the audio or video files
Open QuickTime Player on your computer. You will be prompted to select an audio or video file. Select the file corresponding to the beginning of your meeting.
A pop-up window of that recording will appear. Select Edit from the menu at the top of your screen.
In the drop-down menu that appears, select Add Clip to End...
You will be prompted to select a second file. Select the next file and then click Choose media.
The pop-up window will now include both clips. Select Done to confirm that the two files should be attached.
Close out of the window, at which point you will be prompted to rename the clip in the Export as field. Select Save.
Upload new audio or video files
Click on the green + New meeting button and select Upload meeting audio from the drop-down menu.
In the new meeting page that is created, you can rename the meeting (the default will be "Untitled"). Click on the Select file button and upload the combined audio file from your computer.
The automations connected with that meeting type will automatically process. You have now successfully uploaded multiple captures as one meeting in Jump!
To remove the previous meeting with just one portion of the audio uploaded, see this guide for more information on deleting a meeting.
