What are the benefits of connecting my Zoom account to Jump?
Zoom gives hosts a lot of control. If the host doesn't permit a notetaker to record, the notetaker won't capture any data from a meeting.
Connecting your Zoom account to Jump is largely helpful because it gives some permissions to the Jump notetaker in advance. There are permissions that would normally have to be granted by you, the host, manually each time.
Here are three specific benefits:
If you're the host, the notetaker can capture a meeting without needing to request recording permission from you.
If you're the host, the notetaker can automatically capture even if you're not in the meeting.
When troubleshooting Zoom issues, the Jump team can look at your Zoom settings directly to see if anything is amiss.
How do I connect Jump to Zoom?
Go to User settings > Integrations > Zoom > Connect.
Do I have to connect Jump to Zoom to capture Zoom meetings?
No. Even if you don't connect Jump to Zoom, Jump can still schedule a notetaker to attend the Zoom meeting. You just miss out on the benefits described above.
How do I change my personal Zoom settings so that Jump's notetaker can capture successfully?
Jump captures Zoom meetings by sending a notetaker as an attendee. If your Zoom settings prohibit attendees from capturing a meeting, the Jump notetaker will also be barred.
To give the notetaker from Jump permission to capture:
Log into Zoom on the web
Click on "Settings" in the left-hand navigation menu
Click on "Recording" in the settings tabs
Switch the "Record to computer files" toggle to "On"
Check the boxes next to "Internal meeting participants" and "External meeting participants."
In "Other settings," check the boxes next to "Save chat messages from the meeting / webinar" and "Save closed captions as a VTT file."

How do I change my team's admin Zoom settings so that Jump's notetaker can capture successfully?
If you are a Zoom admin, you can select this setting for all users in your Zoom account by doing the following:
Log into Zoom on the web
Click on "Account Management" in the left-hand navigation menu
Click on "Account Settings"
Click on the "Recording & Transcript" tab
Toggle on "Record to computer files" and click the lock button
Note: Toggling on this setting won't automatically capture all of your meetings via Zoom. It will just make sure that the Jump notetaker is able to request permission to record.
How do I use the in-client Jump app in Zoom?
Check out this dedicated guide on how to set up and use the in-client app to manage the Jump notetaker directly from Zoom.
