If Jump didn’t automatically join your Zoom call, there are a couple of ways to add the notetaker so you can capture your meeting and get notes generated.

First, you can manually add the notetaker — see this guide — from your Jump web interface. But now, there’s an additional way you can add and manage your notetaker right from the Zoom call itself.

The Zoom in-client app allows you to add, pause, or remove the Jump notetaker directly from Zoom, so you don’t need to click into a different window. To enable the Zoom in-client app, you’ll need to first make sure “Embed passcode in invite link for one-click join” is turned on in your Zoom settings (the Security section).

Next, you’ll need to make sure you’re integrated with Zoom in Jump — follow this guide if you’re not already. When this feature is activated for you, Jump may prompt you to reconnect your Zoom to actually use it (it won’t stop working in the meantime, don’t worry).

From there, you can start a Zoom call as usual, then look for the “Apps” button in the bottom bar. Click it, and Jump should appear as an option. Click that, and you’ll see a sidebar with a prompt to add the notetaker (or the option to pause/remove it if it’s already there).

Once you click “Add notetaker,” it should arrive within a few seconds. (This will also trigger the “active meeting” section to appear at the top left of your Jump web interface, right below the “New Meeting” button).

If you run into any issues here, or your Zoom doesn’t have this app visible, reach out to our support team via the blue chat button in the bottom right of the Jump interface, and we’ll get things figured out!
