Who can connect to Microsoft Teams Phone?

  • Full users

  • Lite users

Jump supports Microsoft Teams Phone integration, allowing recorded Teams Phone calls to be automatically pulled in and processed as meetings.

This gives firms using Teams Phone the same call capture and note automation experience available with Zoom Phone, RingCentral, and other VoIP providers.

Teams Phone integration overview

  • Enable Teams Phone ingestion to automatically convert recorded Teams Phone calls into Jump meetings.

  • Get AI notes and summaries for Teams Phone calls, just like other capture methods.

  • Centralize call recordings and notes alongside your other customer meetings in Jump.

How to connect Microsoft Teams Phone

Getting started — New users

  1. Create a Jump account at https://my.jumpapp.com/signup.

  2. During onboarding, sign up with Microsoft to connect Microsoft Teams.

  3. Follow the below steps to enable the necessary permissions for Microsoft Teams Phone.

For existing users

  1. Log into Jump at https://my.jumpapp.com/.

  2. Go to Profile & settings > User settings > Integrations > Active integrations.

  3. Find the Microsoft Teams tile and click Settings.

  4. In the new window that opens, click Enable Teams Phone.

  5. Choose the Microsoft account you’d like to connect to Jump.

  6. Jump will request the additional Files.Read permission the first time Teams Phone is enabled in your tenant.

    1. If you are a Microsoft admin for your organization, you can accept the new permissions on behalf of your organization.

    2. If you are not a Microsoft admin for your organization, you’ll need to reach out to your admin to get this additional permission approved.

  7. Once the permissions have been approved by the admin, refresh the Integrations page.

  8. Navigate to the Microsoft Teams tile and click Enable Teams Phone.

  9. Verify the Teams Phone status has the Enabled icon.

About the Microsoft permission:

  • The additional Files.Read permission allows Jump to securely access call recordings on a per-user basis. This enables Jump to import and process these calls as meetings for users who have enabled Teams Phone in their Jump profile.

  • This consent is scoped to your tenant only and does not affect other tenants.

  • Consent is requested only when you enable Teams Phone, not for all Microsoft users.

  2. Within the meeting page, go to the Meeting notes tab to view the AI processed meeting notes.

  3. Navigate to the Automations panel on the right-hand side of the page to access the note sync automation, recap email draft, follow-up tasks, and other automations (where applicable).
