Who can fix this error?
Salesforce admin with Approve Uninstalled Connected Apps permissions: One‑time approval
Jump users: Connect after the app is approved
Scenario A — Your firm already uses Jump ↔ Salesforce
Use this path when other teammates at your firm have already connected Jump to Salesforce.
In Salesforce, the admin with Approve Uninstalled Connected Apps permissions will open Setup.
Search for and open Connected Apps OAuth Usage.
If you see a Jump button:
Click Install > Confirm.
After install, click Edit Policies.
Under OAuth Policies, set Permitted Users to All users may self‑authorize. This allows Jump users to connect to their Salesforce accounts.
In Jump, the user goes to User Settings > Integrations > + Add an integration.
Click on the CRM tab, then find and click on the Salesforce tile.
Click the green Add integration button to complete OAuth.
Scenario B — First‑time setup (no one at your firm has integrated yet)
Use this path if in Salesforce, the Jump app isn’t installed and there’s no Install option in Connected Apps OAuth Usage.
Option 1 — Temporary permission for a Jump user
In Salesforce, admin users go to Setup > Users > Profiles > System Permissions.
Temporarily enable Approve Uninstalled Connected Apps permissions for the Jump user.
Have the Jump user connect to Salesforce from Jump: User settings > Integrations > + Add an integration > CRM > Salesforce > Add integration.
After a successful connection, go to Salesforce and remove the temporary permission from the Jump user's profile.
In Salesforce, go to Connected Apps OAuth Usage and install the Jump app, starting from Step 3 in Scenario A.
Option 2 — Admin connects to seed the install, then hands off
The Salesforce admin logs into Jump as the Jump user.
Integrate Jump with Salesforce using the admin’s Salesforce credentials by going to User settings > Integrations > + Add an integration > CRM > Salesforce > Add integration.
Once connected, the admin goes to Salesforce and installs Jump following the original instructions from Scenario A.
In the Jump user’s Jump account, go back to User settings > Integrations > Salesforce > Disconnect to disconnect the admin’s Salesforce account.
The Jump user can then complete the integration process with their own Salesforce credentials.
If you still see errors
Policy and permission changes can take a few minutes to propagate; try again after a short wait.
Try an incognito window or new browser session.
Confirm the user has a valid Salesforce license and can authorize connected apps.
Check org IP/session security policies that might block OAuth.
