  • Full users

Overview

This feature allows you to decide how Jump handles notes when syncing them into an existing CRM record. Rather than creating a new note or entry each time, you can choose whether Jump updates (overwrites), blends, or keeps the original content in your CRM record.

How to use it

  1. Begin your sync process

    • After finishing your meeting and reviewing the notes that Jump generated, navigate to the top-right corner of the meeting page.

    • Click the Update automation (specific wording may vary).

  2. Select an update method

  • When prompted, choose the specific record (e.g., an Activity or Meeting) in your CRM you wish to update.

  • Decide how you’d like Jump to handle the description or field:

    • Update/Overwrite: Replaces the existing text.

    • Blend or Combine with AI: Merges the original text with Jump’s notes.

    • Keep Original: Retains the existing text and ignores Jump’s notes.

Blend (combine with AI)

If you choose “Blend,” you can preview the combined content by clicking "Compare/edit side-by-side." Jump will show you what was in your CRM before and what Jump typed out.

Setting a default option

If you prefer Jump to default to Update, Blend or Keep Original, you can do so by following the instructions below:

  1. Access your user settings

    • Go to your Jump User settings and select the Automations tab.

  2. Locate your update automation

    • Under the Do This... section, find the Update automation that has a destination marked as your CRM. The name of the automation will probably start with Update, though specific wording can vary.

  3. Edit the automation details

    • Click into the automation, and you’ll see a drop-down to set the Update type (default). (Update, Blend, or Keep Original).

    • Choose your preferred default action.

  4. Save your preferences

    • Click the green Save and close button to apply this default setting.

Note: You can still manually change how Jump updates CRM fields on a per-sync basis, even after setting this default.

Why use this feature?

• Streamlined Updates: If you prefer to edit the text of an existing CRM field (for instance, updating an Activity’s description in Redtail), you can do so without creating a new separate note.

Flexible Options: Decide whether to replace the existing text entirely, combine pre-existing content with Jump's AI output or just keep original text.

Default Preferences: Set a default “Update type” for your sync updates so you don’t need to manually select your update method every time.
