What is Document Intelligence?

Document Intelligence is a workflow in Jump that lets you:

  • Upload a client document (like a statement or onboarding form)

  • Extract structured data using AI

  • Review the extracted values side-by-side with the original document

  • Confirm changes and sync approved updates to supported destinations

Note: nothing syncs automatically without review.

How to use Document Intelligence

Step 1: Upload a document

  1. Navigate to Documents in Jump and click Upload Document

  2. Upload your file.

    • Drag and drop, or browse to select a file.

  3. Confirm the key details in the Document Profile section:

    • Document name

    • Document type (if your account uses document types)

      • This field can be populated with whatever desired document type by typing in the field.

    • Contact (who the document belongs to)

Step 2: Choose destinations

  1. Choose one or more connected destinations where you want to apply approved updates.

    1. Destinations generally fall into two categories:

      1. CRMs and financial planning tools (suggested record updates that you review and confirm)

      2. Document management systems (saving the document file to the destination)

Note: Updates can also be used to populate Smart Forms.

Step 3: Submit for processing

  1. Click Next: Sync to destination to continue. Jump processes the document in the background.

    1. Processing time depends on file size and complexity.

    2. You can navigate away while processing. When it is ready, you can return to review it from the Document Vault.

  2. Jump applies the approved updates to your selected destination(s).

Note: Once the document processes, be sure to review extracted data to ensure all fields are correct. You may leave fields blank if you do not want to update them.

Troubleshooting

My document is still processing

  • Wait a few minutes and refresh.

  • Larger files can take longer.

  • If the document appears stuck for an extended period, contact Jump support with the document name and approximate upload time.

The document preview does not render correctly

  • Try re-uploading the file.

  • If possible, upload a PDF instead of a scanned image.

The extracted fields are missing or incorrect

  • Review the document for scan quality, rotation, or low-resolution text.

  • Manually correct fields during review before syncing.

I do not see my destination in the list

  • Confirm the integration is connected.

  • Confirm the destination is supported for Document Intelligence.

Sync failed or did not update the destination

  • Re-open the document review and confirm the fields you approved.

  • Check the destination directly for any partial updates.

  • Contact Jump support if the issue persists.

Sync to destination button is unavailable or grayed out

  • Ensure you have provided document name, type, corresponding contact, and have selected the destination first.

  • Ensure you have selected document type before attempting to choose the destination.
