What are meeting agendas?

In Jump, a meeting agenda is a structured list of topics to cover during the meeting.

  • Agendas are template-driven. You pick a template (for example, a “Portfolio Review” agenda), then generate an agenda for a specific meeting.

  • Agendas are built on Jump’s block editor (the same technology that powers pre-meeting prep) so you can create sections, headings, lists, and AI-powered blocks, then edit the output.

  • Agendas can auto-generate before a meeting (when configured), or you can generate them on demand.

How to use meeting agendas

  1. Go to a meeting’s Agendas tab.

  2. Choose an agenda template from the template picker.

  3. Confirm the contact (if the meeting is tied to a specific contact).

  4. Click Generate now to create an agenda for that meeting.

  5. Review the agenda, then click Edit agenda to make any changes. Agendas are designed to be fully editable, so you can add, remove, or reorder items.

  6. If you want to try a different structure, regenerate using a different template.

  7. Look for the Generated on timestamp so you know when the agenda was last created.

How to make a custom agenda template

  1. Navigate to Profile & settings > User settings > Templates > Agendas.

  2. Click the + New template button in the top right corner of the section.

  3. Use the block editor to create your own sections.

  4. Select a contact to preview the output.

  5. When you're finished, be sure to click Save.

If you like most of the Default Meeting Agenda template, but want to make a few changes (rather than starting from scratch), you can select the three-dot kebab button on that template's row, then click Duplicate.

This will allow you to make your own custom edits to the existing template.

Note: For more information about how to use the block editor to customize your template, check out this help guide.

How to generate agendas automatically

Agendas support auto-generation via the same listener pattern used for Pre-Meeting Prep, which can generate content a set time before the meeting.

To set this up, navigate to Profile & settings > User settings > Automations.

  1. In the Do this... section, click the green + button in the top right corner to create a new action.

  2. Give your new action a name (i.e. Meeting agenda).

  3. Select Generate agenda as the Type.

  4. Pick the agenda template you want to run.

  5. Apply this action to the Pre-Meeting Prep event.

Your agenda will automatically generate 24 hours prior to your scheduled meeting (unless you've customized your prep to run earlier or later than the default time).

FAQ

How is this different from Pre-Meeting Prep?

Pre-Meeting Prep is for context (who you are meeting with, what happened last time, and relevant background). Meeting Agendas are your meeting plan: a structured list of topics to cover.

Can I use the same agenda every time?

Yes. Create (or duplicate) an agenda template for recurring meeting types, then generate it for each new meeting and make quick edits as needed.

Can my firm standardize agendas across the team?

Yes. Account-level templates can be created so everyone uses consistent structure. Teammates can use them, and can typically duplicate them into personal copies when needed.
