What the Orion integration does
The Jump integration with Orion pulls data directly into your pre-meeting prep, allowing you to:
View account info
Automatically link Orion clients to your Jump contacts
Once the accounts are linked, Jump can pull information from these objects in Orion:
Client — the household or individual’s core Orion record, including name, contact info, and status
Registration — the legal ownership structure for an account, such as individual, joint, trust, or IRA
Account — account-level details like account type, status, account number, and current value
Asset — individual holdings within an account, including ticker, shares, price, current value, asset class, and cost basis
Transaction — buys, sells, contributions, withdrawals, and other account activity
Performance — Orion-calculated returns, including YTD/trailing returns, benchmark comparisons, and grouped performance where available
Models — assigned model information and model tolerance/drift, so prep can flag where a portfolio is off target
Gain/Loss & Cost Basis — realized and unrealized gain-loss detail, useful for tax-aware review conversations
Historical Valuation / AUM — portfolio value over time, so prep can reference AUM trends and historical valuation context
How to connect Orion to Jump
In Jump, navigate to Profile & settings > User settings > Integrations.

Find Orion under the Portfolio Management category.

You'll be redirected to Orion to authorize the connection.

How to use the Orion integration in pre-meeting prep
You can incorporate Orion information into your pre-meeting prep notes with these steps:
Go to Profile & settings > User settings > Templates.
Select your desired Meeting Prep template from the list.
In the template editor, click on the Default Sources tile on the left and locate the Orion field.
Here, select the specific Orion objects that you would like to make available to Jump for generating pre-meeting prep. (e.g., Account, Client, Registration).
Within the meeting prep template, you can add an Instructions block that tells Jump what to do with the Orion information.
Use the Sources dropdown on the bottom left corner of the Instructions block to further specify the Orion objects you'd like to be used in this block.
Throughout the prep template, you can also use the "@" symbol to pull in specific variables from your connected Orion account.

Frequently asked questions (FAQs)
How does Jump link Orion clients to my contacts?
Jump automatically links Orion clients to existing Jump contacts using email address matching. If the email addresses match, the Orion client will be tied to your Jump contact. If there's no match, the Orion client won't be automatically linked.
