Integrating Jump with TaxStatus brings IRS-verified tax data directly into your meeting prep workflow, saving time on manual data collection while ensuring your advice is grounded in official, accurate information.

This connection helps advisors surface planning opportunities faster and deliver a higher-trust, tax-aware client experience.


What you can do today

  • Connect to TaxStatus during sign‑up or later under Profile & settings > User settings > Integrations > + Add an integration.

  • Automatically view IRS-verified tax data within Pre-Meeting Prep for clients who have authorized access.

  • See key tax details (e.g., filing status, AGI, dependents, accounts, balance due) alongside other client context.


How to integrate Jump with TaxStatus

Follow these steps to set up your Jump account and connect it with TaxStatus:

Are you a new user?

  1. Create a Jump account at https://my.jumpapp.com/signup.

  2. While onboarding, choose TaxStatus during the Tax Integration step and connect via OAuth.

Are you an existing user?

  1. Log into Jump at https://my.jumpapp.com/.

  2. Go to User settings > Integrations > + Add an integration.

  3. In the window that opens, click on the Tax Integration tab.

  4. Select the TaxStatus tile and click Add integration.

  5. In the new window that opens, users will enter the Company ID for their TaxStatus account.

  6. Click Connect to complete the integration.


Note: Users can find their TaxStatus Company ID by following these steps:

  1. Navigate to the Team tab to view Team Workspaces.

  2. Select the Edit icon for the desired Workspace.

  3. In the new window that opens, navigate down to the Integrations section.

  4. Next to the Jump icon, select the Activate button.

  5. This will reveal the API Key that the user can copy and paste into the Company ID field in the Jump integration screen.


Creating a TaxStatus meeting prep template

Once connected with TaxStatus, set up a dedicated pre-meeting prep template that will source data from your connected TaxStatus account.

Here’s how:

  1. Go to Profile & settings > User settings > Templates.

  2. Click + New template to create a new tax-aware version from scratch. Or, edit an existing template to include TaxStatus as a data source.

How to access meeting prep with TaxStatus data

Here’s how you will access TaxStatus data in your Jump workflows for scheduled meetings:

  1. Navigate to Meetings > Upcoming.

  2. Click on a specific meeting.

  3. In the meeting page, select the Pre-meeting prep tab.

  4. Verify the correct template is in use.

  5. View the AI-generated pre-meeting prep notes, which will include relevant TaxStatus data, alongside other pertinent information from your selected meeting prep sources.

If you want to view pre-meeting prep with TaxStatus data for an ad-hoc meeting that’s not on your calendar, here’s how:

  1. Go to the Contacts tab.

  2. Search or scroll to find the correct contact.

  3. Navigate to the Pre-meeting prep tab to view the prep notes.

  4. Use the dropdown selector to change the template that’s applied, or click the Regenerate prep button to refresh with the most up-to-date information.
